The JDV Social Club, established in 2021 and based in New Orleans, is a nonprofit creating inclusive spaces for women to connect, and express individuality through costume. Our mission is to support and amplify the creative projects and passions of the women in our community. By blending elevated dining experiences with art, fashion and supporting local small businesses, JDV is more than a celebration—it’s a movement. Our annual Carnival social is a much needed escape from the demands of our busy lives and careers, inviting women to embrace their inner child-like wonder through the joy of costume play and imagination.

“Mardi Gras 2021 was canceled but our costumes weren’t.”

“I started the JDV Social club to have a vibrant dining experience that blends fashion, art, hospitality and culture. It’s an intergalactic costume experience rooted in bold creative self expression, joy and extravagance. Joie de Vivre translates to the “exuberant enjoyment of life” and I can’t think of a better time of year in New Orleans to celebrate in such a way.”
